…Yesterday was one long day and I’ve still not had much sleep…had to endure a really awkward lunch with the rest of the team and an even more awkward elevator ride…what do you do when you are in an elevator filled with familiar strangers anyway??? In my mind I was just going through funny scenarios…like if someone farted…and lunch was at a Tandoori place…I had to keep myself from laughing before they all start to think the new girl is crazy….speaking of which though, that office has got to be one of the least constant places ever…either someone just joined or someone is going on holiday or someone is moving to another office in a different country or leaving the company all together…but then it’s also my first time in a professional environment so maybe that is the norm…after work, I headed off to another emirate…staying at my buddy’s for the weekend…went to see transformers 3 and it was kind of really amazing…especially if action is what you’ve got a craving for…my only issues with the movie is that it was too long and the background music in some scenes was bleh…for a moment, felt like I was watching Lord of the Rings…and there was a really silly scene involving the girlfriend and a decepticon -__- but I loved the action scenes and the autobots 🙂 funny how in fight scenes, the villain-killer move is not done till the hero is almost dead or has lost something important…like why didn’ he/she do that since…guess being a hero can’t be made to look easy before people start getting ideas…
…So back to the topic…honestly I digress so much but if I decide not to go with the challenge, I’ll probably be uninspired…oh well…I honestly can’t say I have a favorite book…started reading novels pretty early in life with a mix of enid blyton books, novels by Nigerian authors and some penguin classics…since then, I’ve read a lot more across different genres and at different phases, the books I love change…I do know what I don’t like though and it’s romance novels of any kind *side-eye to the Mill and Boons crew)…the man hates the woman at the beginning and vice versa…they are always the most beautiful people (average folks have no business with romance)…I remember reading one of them and the lady was described to have lashes that brushed her cheeks…eh ehn…I didn’t know they could grow that long -__-…anyway back to the story, one person saves the other and then the give in to their urges and make passionate love (of course bad sex doesn’t belong in the romance vocabulary) and they realize they’ve always loved each other…in some effort at a twist, one of them will do something stupid to the other, then there’ll be another couple of pages of romantic reunion…yawn…once you’ve read one, you’ve read them all…I’ve always wondered though, in romance novels/movies, one person tries to tell the other a secret they’ve been keeping and the other one goes all “I love you as you are, your past doesn’t matter to me, bla bla, bla” but then if they find out by chance (which they always do), then they get mad and suddenly cannot trust the person anymore…errm really….anyway, that’s enough about that…
Random thought: kids these days are really starting out early…read a news report recently about a gym for toddlers…hmmmm…I have no words…
