…better late than never :D…for me, it’s pretty much the best thing a person can get…I always say the world owes you nothing…not even your parents that bring you into this world…ubut if one was to hold the world to ransom for something, then education should be the demand…education can be formal or informal…whatever tickles your fancy but by all means, get one…whether you’re studying to be an astrophysicist or learning how to determine someone’s future by consulting leaves…there’s just something about someone who KNOWS their business…
…okay maybe I should also say that the education needs to be quality education…not from a quack…there’s a plumber that fixed the tap on my wash hand basin…I can estimate that he’s been working for about 10 years but somehow, the tap he fixed for me is slanted :S …get educated people…find what you like and learn the hell out of it…and never stop learning…
…I was going to add that being educated makes one more civilized…but then again, I’ve come across some formally educated people that will shame even the illiterates…yeah those two definitely don’t add up…
#Life’sLittlePleasures…driving in lagos is quite an enlightening experience…and one of the more enlightening aspects for me is when I have to navigate a roundabout…I remember my driving instructor in Sharjah telling me you are never to stop on a roundabout…the other cars will wait for you…in Lagos, that’s a try that at your own risk move…so I’m always very glad when I have a buffer…that other car brave enough to challenge the oncoming traffic, thus clearing the road for you to pass…
…such joy…
#Random…you can learn some life lessons while driving in Lagos…some of the ones I’ve learnt are:
– At intersections: no one gives you a chance…you have to grab it…okay some might but those are few and far between…
– While trafficating to change lanes or make a turn: most people don’t want to see you getting ahead…so if you must, do so quietly and take them by surprise…otherwise they’ll speed up do all they can to keep you at the same spot…
…walah if you know how to drive in Lagos, you’ll probably get arrested in other places where they actually enforce traffic rules…
